Robert M. Rogers, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Gynecologist Northwest Women's Health Care

I am extremely excited to be a part of the team at Northwest Women’s Health Care. Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to practice with this great group and realize that they share my vision in the care of women. The staff at this facility are surpassed by none and I am proud to become a part of this exceptional team.

I have practiced gynecology in Pennsylvania for the past 21 years. During this time my practice evolved into a practice where I specialized in general women’s health care as well as laparoscopic surgery. I also have a passion for pelvic reconstructive surgery (repair of prolapse) and bladder repair for urinary loss. When I explored working at Northwest Women’s Health Care, I found the "team approach" to be exactly the opportunity for which I was searching. This approach will give me the opportunity to continue to practice gynecology, see patients and last, but not least, continue to lecture, write and teach, both nationally as well as internationally, new surgical techniques for female surgery.

Now that I have told you of my professional passions and visions, I will give you a short background on my academic past. I graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Chemistry in 1971 and then went on to study medicine both in Switzerland as well as Temple University School of Medicine, receiving my MD degree in 1980. From 1980-1984 I specialized in obstetrics and gynecology, completing a residency in Pennsylvania. I then went into private practice. While in private practice, I was a clinical assistant professor in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania.

On a personal level, I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and married Shirley, my wife of 30 years. We have seven children, all of whom look forward to spending time with us in the beautiful Flathead Valley. We are so excited to become a part of this wonderful community. My hobbies include skiing and hiking, but most of all medical teachings by way of writing and lecturing on new gynecological topics.
