Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in OB/GYN
Northwest Women's Health Care

In 1985, I joined NWHC in its vision of total health care of women. My focus has been to spend most of my time in the clinical area working directly with patients. As one of NWWHC's nurse practitioners, I will be fortunate to help you with your complete exam and treatment. Today's health information and options from diagnostic screening tests and traditional and alternative therapies will be discussed and personalized with you. The responsibility of being an educated consumer is more challenging than ever before. Together we will explore and navigate this adventure.

Continuing education at the most progressiveconferences keeps me constantly updating my knowledge and skills in diagnostics and treatments. Special clinical areas of expertise include; wellness, menopause, PMS, weight control, and infertility. Since 1985, NWWHC has been affiliated with the University of Washington as a satellite clinic to bring the most up-to-date treatments for infertility to rural Montana. In 1987, I began to provide diagnostic ultrasounds in our office. I was certified in 1996 as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in OB/GYN through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. In 1995, I began and continue to surgically assist with laparoscopic surgeries for our patients.

My profession of nursing began in 1974 with aBachelor of Science in Nursing and a certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. My career has included practice as a State Nursing Consultant in Chronic Illness in Arkansas; Coordinator for Home Health Services and Nurse Practitioner for Well Child, Family Planning programs in Flathead County. In 1984, I was licensed in my speciality as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner in Montana. My professional goal of total personalized care of women continues to "reach for the stars" in this practice. In 1998, I was awarded the honor of being Montana's Nurse Practitioner of the Year.

Michael (Mick) and I married in 1977 and have had our lives enriched by foster parenting two young men from Vietnam, Tho Phan and Yung Vo. Both are now married and continue to be a part of our family. Joseph (Joe) was born in 1985 and is our delight. Together our family loves to participate in all the school, community, and recreational activities that Kalispell and Montana offer. We are members of St. Matthew's Parish. I believe strongly in honesty and kindness as the basis for all meaningful relationships and I strive to practice this in my life.
